Jiaogulan (J Herb)
Amount:
Dosing is done to effect. Before you start using it, note the color of the gums. Use 1-2 teaspoons twice per day. Increase the amount by 1/2 teaspoon every 3-4 days until you see the gums get pinker. When the gums get pinker you know that your are at the correct dose.
It is recommended to feed 20 minutes before a meal, or two hours afterwards. This is so that the jiaogulan doesn't get stuck to the other foods. If you have to feed it with the meal, increase the amount by 50%.

Jiaogulan is frequently recommended for horses with foot pain. This adaptogen preferentially promotes healing of the nitric oxide precursors and away from the inflammatory pathways.

Powder: Approximately 1 1/2 grams per teaspoon, based on average fluffiness.
